What you need (Ingredients):
- 200 grams almond flour
- 200 grams cottage cheese
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Optional: Hunter & Gather Avocado Oil or 1 egg, and sesame seeds for topping
- Optional: 1-2 servings of Hunter & Gather Collagen, to add more protein to each bun without changing the recipe!
What you do (method):
- Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet with greaseproof paper.
- In a bowl combine the almond flour, cottage cheese and baking powder with a spoon. It will form a thick dough. There will be lumps from the cottage cheese. Feel free to blend the cottage cheese if you want a smooth looking finished product.
- Divide the dough into 4 even balls and shape them into a bun shape before placing on the prepared baking sheet.
- Using a pastry brush, brush the top of each bun with the avocado oil. Or, if wanting to use an egg wash, simply mix the egg with 1 tbsp of water before using. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
- Allow the buns to cool fully before slicing in half and using. Enjoy!
