Treat your guests to a luxurious and creamy fresh eggnog this festive season. Serve with or without booze for a drink that just screams Christmas cocktail!
Homemade Keto Eggnog Recipe
It wouldn't be Christmas without eggnog! But if there's one festive drink worth making from scratch this festive season - this is it!
Making your own eggnog means that you can ensure it is as fresh as possible, for the best flavour and texture.
It also means that you can control what goes in the recipe - swerving added sugars and artificial ingredients for a truly authentic and indulgent eggnog.
Then for an extra Keto boost we add a couple of servings of Hunter & Gather Collagen Peptides, for an eggnog that is high in protein and fat - whilst low in carbs.
Can I add booze to this recipe?
We like to avoid booze most of the time in the pursuit of optimal health. What's more, many alcoholic beverages aren't actually Keto friendly.
However, it is the most wonderful time of the year! So if you do allow the occasional festive tipple then you can enjoy your eggnog with some added booze.
Eggnog is typically made with Rum, Brandy or Bourbon. These are all low in carbohydrates and so can be enjoyed in moderation as part of your Keto lifestyle.
We'd recommend adding 60ml of your chosen tipple to this recipe - which works out as 30ml per person.
Can I make a batch of this for my guests?
Yes! You can make a bigger batch of eggnog if you are catering for a Christmas crowd. This recipe serves 2, so simply multiply the amount of ingredients depending on how many guests you're expecting.
As eggnog is made using raw egg, we wold always advise using the freshest Organic and Free Range eggs possible. You should make your eggnog just before serving to ensure it is as fresh as possible.
Here's the recipe.
