The Finest Extra Virgin Avocado OIl
Our Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Avocado Oil is crafted from the finest hand-gathered and perfectly ripened Kenyan avocados available. Our oil is extracted using a single cold-pressed method, which ensures all the essential nutrients from the avocado are retained and leaves you with an oil that is emerald green in colour and has the scent and taste of a perfectly ripe avocado.
As our oil is cold pressed using the highest Extra Virgin standards possible, it retains the wonderful goodness of the avocado. Our oil has an abundance of monounsaturated fatty acids, also known as oleic acid, which is the same omega-9 essential fatty acid that won olive oil its superfood status.
There are many health benefits associated with Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Avocado Oil and it is highly regarded for its ability to increase the absorption of carotenoids (antioxidants to you and I) from fruits and vegetables that it is paired with.
With 20% of your NRV per 15ml serving, what is there not to love?!
What is Extra Virgin?
Extra virgin avocado oil is marked so as it is cold pressed at temperatures under 50 deg C. This ensures the nutrients are intact in the oil. It is also marked as Extra Virgin because of the quality of fruit that is used. In this process, only perfectly ripe avocados are used to make the oil. Any over-ripe or rotten avocados are not used for Extra Virgin oil as this ruins the quality and flavour of our wonderful oil.
Many available avocado oils will have a very strong avocado flavour and leave a bitter aftertaste. This is because over-ripe and damaged avocados are used to produce their oil. Our fruit is hand sorted multiple times to ensure no overripe avocados are processed and we apply the same guidelines that the olive oil council use to govern the olive oil industry when producing our oil.
An extremely versatile and loved oil, it has a taste that is far more subtle than olive oil or coconut oil. Our oil is perfect for dipping, drizzling and even cooking due to it’s high smoke point of 255 deg Celsius.
We love using it to drizzle over a large leafy salad or as a base for a salad dressing or marinade.
Store in a cool dark place. Use within 3 months of opening.
