Seaweed Sushi Rolls

These quick and easy seaweed sushi rolls are great in lunch boxes, on the go or as a simple starter. The filling options are endless and can be made suitable for: 
Paleo, Keto, Vegan, Dairy Free, Gluten Free and Grain Free.
 
What you need:
  • Half nori (seaweed) sheets
  • Hunter and Gather Avocado Mayo or MAYOCADO of your choice
  • Fillings of your choice, some ideas listed below 
For these photographed seaweed rolls we opted for roast beef, MAYOCADO, strips of carrot, strips of cucumber and peashoots.
 
What you do:
  1. Place a half nori sheet on a flat surface
  2. Start building your roll by placing your protein option on the sheet, leaving a little room around the edge
  3. Now it is time for your mayonnaise of choice followed by 2-3 vegetable options
  4. Roll the seaweed and fillings quite tightly without cracking it 
  5. Seal the edges of the roll at the shorter end with a drop or two of water to help hold the roll together
  6. Secure with a toothpick and cut in half if desired
Can be served with a little extra mayonnaise on the side as a dipping sauce

  • Chicken
  • Prawns 
  • Tuna
  • Crabmeat
  • Salmon
And then add 2-3 of the following: 
  • Watercress
  • Lettuce
  • Spinach
  • Peashoots
  • Rocket
  • Cucumber
  • Carrots
  • Red pepper
  • Olives
  • Avocado
  • Mushrooms
  • Tomatoes 
  • Spring onions
  • Radish
Perhaps even a few fresh herbs:
  • Parsley
  • Mint
  • Coriander
  • Dill
