How to make a fat, Bulletproof Coffee with Coconut MCT and Collagen Protein
What is fat butter coffee?
Fat butter coffee is exactly what it sounds like - Butter added into the coffee. By adding butter into your coffee not only are you increasing the good fat content, it makes the coffee creamy and delicious too.
Can you make Bulletproof (Evolve) coffee dairy-free?
You can make this coffee dairy-free, by switching the butter for regular extra virgin coconut oil as well as the MCT coconut oil.
What is collagen coffee?
Collagen coffee is coffee which is blended with collagen peptide protein powder. Our Collagen is unflavoured, so does not alter the taste of the coffee at all. If taken daily collagen supports your gut health, skin, hair and nail strength too.
What is Medium Chain Triglyceride Oil (MCT)?
Medium Chain Triglyceride is the long name for MCT oil. It's a medium-chain fatty acid that is derived from the coconut. Hunter & Gather MCT oil is 100% coconut and is triple steam distilled - no palm or rapeseed oils is used. Can I add both MCT oil and Collagen into my Bulletproof coffee?
Yes, you can add both MCT Oil, Collagen protein and butter into your coffee at the same time.
Here is how to make your creamy morning brew:
(Makes 1 cup)
What You Need (Ingredients):
- 15g Freshly ground coffee
- 230ml boiled water
- 1 tbsp MCT oil
- 2 tsp Collagen (recommended up to 2 tbsp per day)
- 1 tbsp unsalted grass-fed butter
- Handheld whisk/milk frother
What You Do (Method):
1) Ground the coffee beans and add into a cafetiere or V60 coffee filter
2) Add the boiled (and slightly cooled) water to the coffee and allow to brew for 3-5 minutes
3) In a jug, add the MCT oil, Collagen and butter
4) Pour over the hot coffee
5) Whisk together until creamy, frothy and fully blended
6) Serve and enjoy
